Lorell's love of all things faery began in childhood, when her Irish grandmother would tell her stories about leprechauns and pixies.
Lorell studied Fine Art at SACAE between 1984-86 and Graphic Design/Illustration in 1987.
She married and had two children before venturing into the world of “doll-making” in 1993 and has been creating Faeries in two and three dimensions ever since.
Lorell now lives and works in Strathalbyn, South Australia where she has her studio/gallery
"Not all Faeries are Beautiful". She has had several very successful exhibitions and her one-of-a-kind sculptures are in demand both in Australia and abroad.
