This piece was named after the loadstone that completes it. Made out of eight pieces of Oamaru Sandstone each custom built to interlock. Once the final stone is lowered it becomes immovable. The cavity within holds a lamp or candle for viewing at night. In my novel this monolithic building is a portal to the past,the future and to other buildings like this on separate continents.
